Denying the Obvious

Others can see it- see the Obvious
She’s blessed with sight but blind with her fight
Conceded with mendacious intent
which led her to another lament.

Inconsistency was a visible sign
Refused to listen and just gave a sigh
Her friends were right
but she rode the flight.

Defended the noticeable truth
She quoted “I guess he made an imaginary chain-
Just to make me believe I’m tied up, but in reality I’m not.”
And added “There’s no strings attached between us-
it’s just a game I wasn’t able to play well.”
